Hi, I'm Kelsey, the artist behind Slug Bug Stained Glass.

I've been creating stained glass designs for nearly five years, but art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Whether it was drawing, designing, or finding creative ways to build something unique, I've always been drawn to making things with my hands.

Professionally, I've spent the last decade working as a creative professional, and I love bringing that background into every stained glass piece I create. The principles of composition, color, balance, and thoughtful design naturally translate into this medium, allowing me to create artwork that is both visually striking and carefully crafted.

Growing up in Alaska, I spent my summers fishing with family in Prince William Sound, where I developed a deep appreciation for the natural world. From glacier-fed waters and rugged coastlines to towering mountains and abundant wildlife, those experiences instilled a lifelong love of landscapes and the beauty found outdoors.

Today, I call The Dalles, Oregon, home, and continue to draw inspiration from the Columbia Gorge; its winding river, orchards, wildflowers, basalt cliffs, and vibrant community. Whether influenced by the wild beauty of Alaska or the colorful character of the Gorge, many of my original stained glass designs reflect the places that have shaped me. Others are inspired by the stories, memories, and ideas shared by the people I create them for.
